The San Jacinto Trail Report is a 100% volunteer project, described in detail on the About page. To keep its important safety information as clear and uncluttered as possible, the website does not have adverts anywhere, and the videos placed on YouTube do not produce any revenue. Consequently the Report is wholly dependent on small private donations.

Please consider making a small donation to its operating costs if you have found the content to be useful to you. Thank you.

Please use the button below to donate by debit or credit card or via a PayPal account.

Some donors have set up automatic recurring monthly donations via PayPal. Simply check the “make this a monthly donation” box at the PayPal link above. Please consider this option as it is an extremely helpful way of providing lasting support to the Trail Report.

For anyone visiting or living in Idyllwild, cash donations are accepted at Nomad Ventures on North Circle Drive. Nomad Ventures receives no benefit from this service, they simply support the Trail Report concept of helping folks safely enjoy our local mountains.

Donations are used for the costs of maintaining the website, and for the replacement of (very!) heavily used field equipment, primarily hiking boots and microspikes, plus occasionally other worn-out gear.

All funds raised are placed in a bank account that was specifically established, and is used exclusively, for the San Jacinto Trail Report. Anyone wishing to view the accounts of the Trail Report is welcome to contact Jon.

All donors are fully recognized on the Supporters page.
Hiking several thousand miles a year to bring you the information and images in the Trail Report requires more mental energy than physical. Knowing that I have the support of those who read and benefit from the Report’s contents is a powerful motivational force during many long days in the mountains.

Thank you very much for your support.
